Mr Norman Taylor
Executive Chairman
Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse, Norm pursued a career in business development initially with The Bell Group Ltd and then Normandy Mining Limited and Santos Limited. With these groups Norm had senior roles in numerous corporate acquisitions (both on market and off market), capital raisings and corporate restructuring with experience gained in Australia, UK and USA.
Norm subsequently established his own corporate advisory business concentrating on the resources industry providing advice on acquisitions, fund raising and corporate strategy to a range of listed and unlisted companies before establishing Core Resources, an entity that preceded the establishment of Australasian Mining Limited.
Mr Richard Hill
Non Executive Director
Richard has 38 years of experience in the mining and related industries. His roles have ranged from operations & maintenance of mining & processing plant and equipment, through project development and management to executive management. The principal mining & processing sectors in which he has worked are diamonds, gold, base metals and light metals.
His experience has covered all aspects of the mining and minerals processing industry with his initial work in operations and maintenance of mining companies, principally with Anglo American and DeBeers. This was followed by several years in the service industry supporting mining companies with the development of large mines – particularly Jwaneng Diamond (Project Manager & Chief Engineer), Argyle Diamond (Deputy Project Manager – Plant), Fimiston/Super-pit (Project Manager) and several other smaller developments. Following this he spent several years representing mining companies (principally with Normandy Mining) in the development of their projects – and this time using the service industry.
Richard has worked principally in Zambia, Namibia, South Africa, Botswana, Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Philippines, France, Uganda, Turkey and Romania, and has undertaken smaller assignments in several other countries.
Mr John Riordan
Non Executive Director
John has over 25 years of experience in the mining and resources industry and is currently the national Process Engineering Manager for Ausenco Limited. From 2010 to 2015 was the Managing Director of Tenova (formerly Bateman) Engineering’s Australian and SE Asian business unit. John has a BSc Honours from the Department of Chemical Engineering, Cork Institute of Technology, Ireland and has completed the Management Development Program at the University of South Africa, School of Business Leadership. One of John’s particular areas of expertise is in base metal extraction and refining process.
Mr David Royle
Non Executive Director
David is a Chartered Professional Geologist with 38 years of international experience in all aspects of mineral exploration and project feasibility including extensive experience at a senior management level. Previous positions include Vice President Exploration and Business Development, East Asia Mineral Corporation; Managing Director, Kentor Gold Ltd; General Manager Project Generation, MIM Exploration Pty Ltd; General Manager Exploration, Latin America, MIM International Pty Ltd and Exploration Manager Americas, Newcrest Mining Limited.
Mr Xu Hengyao
Non Executive Director
Mr Xu is a resident of the Peoples Republic of China. He got a BSc Honours from Department of Chemical Machinery, Guangdong Pretro School. He has over 19 years of experience in chemical machinery engineering and 15 years of experience in company management. From 1983 to 2002, was a senior engineer and managing director of Ningbo LPG Corporation. He has over 10 years experience at import & export business and currently is deputy director of Zhejiang Yuyuan Technology.
Mr Jin Boyin
Non Executive Director
Mr Jin is a resident of the Peoples Republic of China. Mr Jin studied and worked in Japan for seven years where he gained a high level of knowledge and expertise in the surface treatment industry. Mr Jin founded Win-Win Technology Group in 2010, one of China’s leading companies in aluminium anodising as well as electro and electroless plating.
